Advanced Coil Box (Mandrel-less type)

This system uses a coil box to wind the rough-rolled bar into a coil shape, and is widely used with hot rolling mills as a means of reducing the temperature loss of the rolled bar. Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc. developed a mandrel-less type coil box which further improves the performance of this system.

• Maintains the temperature of the rolled bar.
• Reduces the temperature drop of the innermost part of the coil and the coil end.
• Reduces the amount of required table space in case of new plant.
