Finishing Mill
Advanced Pair Cross Mill
Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc. was the first in the world to develop a pair cross mill with high strip shape control capability. Since that time, we have maintained our position as a pioneer in the field, and we have made numerous improvements to this system based on our extensive experience in the industry.
- High strip shape control capability
- Simplified structure (third generation pair cross mill)
- Achievement of high rolling reduction
- Reduced mill vibration through the use of a mill stabilizer
- More than 100 systems delivered.

The number of cross systems in an advanced pair cross mill is approximately 1/4 or less than the quantity in a first generation mill.
Work Roll Shift Mill

We have been a pioneer in the field ever since we developed the world's first shift mill and have enhanced this technology based on our extensive experience in steel industry.
- 4Hi work roll shift type
- 6Hi IMR/work roll shift type
- More than 100 of these mills have been delivered.
Mill Stabilizer
A mill stabilizer uses a cylinder installed on the mill entry side or exit side to press a roll chock against the opposite side with constant force. This eliminates any gap between the roll chock and housing, stabilizing the roll chock.

Schematic of Mill Stabilizer
- Reduces the impact load which occurs when the strip is engaged.
- Reduces mill vibration.
- Stabilizes threading.
- Reduces housing window control work.

Online Roll Profiler
We have been a pioneer in the field ever since we developed the world's first system capable of roll grinding inside the mill stand (an online roll profiler), and have enhanced this technology based on our extensive experience in the industry.
- Extending the roll life
- Eliminating roll surface defects
- Extending the length of constant-width rolling
- Permitting to widen out without roll change
