Pre-Cleaning Systems

Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc. pre-cleaning systems utilize electrolysis and brush scrubbers to perform alkali cleaning of the strip prior to the annealing process. This cleans the strip surface and removes oil, steel particles, dirt, and other materials.

Tension Leveler

The tension leveler is a system to correct strip shape (improves flatness) and improve the galvanized strip surface properties by means of the repeated bending of strip by small diameter rolls while applying high strip tension.

In a continuous annealing line, this system is generally located before the furnace equipment in order to correct the strip shape before it enters into the furnace equipment to avoid strip walking.
The Leveler rolls are mounted on a cassette for each stretching unit and anti-cambering unit. For leveler roll changing, the entire roll cassette is pulled out/in.

For tin plate annealing line, Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc. offers a compact tension leveler, integrated with entry and exit tension bridle units, resulting to reduction of both installation space and construction work.

In addition to conventional mechanical-tied strip tension bridle driving systems, Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc. also provides electrically-tied (individual) strip tension bridle drive systems, providing high-precision strip shape correction and elongation performance with easy maintenance and lower operation cost by means of improvements to the drive control performance of the leveler entry and exit tension bridle units.

Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc. tension leveler cassette includes a lever which can be used to turn the cassette up side down.

For roll changing, it allows changing rolls easily and safely without using any other tool by turning the cassette up side down by a manual handle, after pulling the cassette off-line by the roll changing device.
